Kirkpatrick calls for increased Election Day resources

Kirkpatrick: “It is encouraging to see so many Arizonans exercising their constitutional right to vote, but the county must keep up with record voter turnout.”

TEMPE – Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick calls for Maricopa County to increase Election Day resources:

“Maricopa County voters deserve easy access to their constitutional right to vote on Tuesday. Arizona set a record for early voting, but reports of long lines in greater Phoenix today mean Maricopa County should make more resources available for Election Day. It is encouraging to see so many Arizonans ready to exercise their constitutional right to vote, but the county must keep up with record voter turnout. The elected officials responsible for ensuring Arizona has fair, efficient and accessible elections — such as Maricopa County Recorder Helen Purcell and Secretary of State Michele Reagan — need to send a clear message that the polls are ready for Tuesday.”
